MEDIA RELEASE

The Hawaii Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in solving a burglary that occurred sometime between August 8 and August 13 (2006) at the old HI-PAL office at 1096 Ululani Street in Hilo.

Unknown suspects entered the office, located in Lanakila Housing, after breaking in through the front door. They removed bows and arrows belonging to the Police Department’s HI-PAL program.

The bows were found at 10:45 a.m. August 13 on Hema Street, near the old HI-PAL office.

Police ask anyone with information about the case to call Officer Mark Arnold at 961-2213 or the police non-emergency number at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
