The Hawaiʻi Isle Police Activities League in West Hawaiʻi held its annual Summer Basketball League at the Kekuaokalani gymnasium in Kailua-Kona during the month of July.

The league included teams from Honokaʻa to Kaʻū with more than 200 youths participating from ages 5-14 in goodwill competitions. The 5-10 year olds played on Tuesdays and the 11-14 year olds played on Thursdays.
