The Hawaii Police Department is investigating a burglary early Sunday (December 28) at a jewelry store on Kamehameha Avenue in Hilo.

One or more persons removed a safe that contained numerous jewelry pieces, including earrings, necklaces, strands and rings.

Police ask that anyone with information about the identity of the suspects or the whereabouts of the stolen property call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
