MEDIA RELEASE

On receiving numerous public complaints about an electronics sale in Hilo, police have determined that the sponsors of the sale are legitimate.

After receiving complaints about the quality of items bought at the sale, held at the old Food Fair site in Hilo, investigators from the State Consumer Protection Agency and the Hilo Criminal Investigation Section investigated.

They found no violations. They also determined that the sponsors had the proper licenses and documents to hold the sale. The sponsors also promised to refund money spent for any items that purchasers were dissatisfied with.

The sale manager, Hanan Abdul, said anyone with questions or complaints about the sale may call a California telephone number, (714) 835-4060, to voice their concerns.
