Big Island Police are renewing their request for information about a robbery that was reported on October 28 at about 11 p.m.

South Hilo patrol officers responded to  Hilo Medical Center after a 67-year-old Hilo man reported that while he was in the downtown Hilo area at about 8:30 p.m., two local males accosted him and demanded money. One may have been wearing a black jacket.

When the victim indicated he didn’t have any money, he was assaulted and loss consciousness.

The victim reported that when he regained consciousness, he discovered that his wallet had been removed from his person and discarded on the ground. The suspects were no longer in the area. 

Police ask that anyone who may have witnessed the incident call Detective Robert Almeida at 961-2386.
