MEDIA RELEASE

Kapiolani Street in Hilo will have one-way traffic during certain hours to accomodate religious services on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

One-way traffic will flow in the Puna or Southerly direction on Kapiolani Street between Waianuenue Avenue and Haili Street. The one-way pettern will be in effect only during the following hours.

From 5:00 p.m. Monday, December 24, 2001, to 2:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 25, 2001.

From 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. December 25, 2001.

At all other times, traffic will flow in the normal two-way pattern.

The one-way traffic pattern will be in effect to maintain a safe and orderly traffic flow during heavily attended Christmas services at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church.
