Juveniles arrested for burglary at Pahoa High School 10-13-06

Big Island Police arrested three juveniles following the reported break-in at Pahoa High School which occurred early Friday morning, October 13, 2006. School Officials reported several rooms were either entered and doors damaged during this burglary and U.S. currency and food items were taken.

The three juvenile boys, two 14-year old and one 16-year old, of Pahoa, were arrested by Puna Patrol and subsequently turned over to the Juvenile Aid Section detectives in Hilo for further investigation.

All three juveniles were charged on nine-counts each of Burglary in the Second Degree. The juveniles were detained and turned over to Family Court. Their names are being withheld because they are minors under the jurisdiction of Family Court.

Detectives from the Juvenile Aid Section are seeking information on two additional juveniles that were involved in connection with the burglaries at Pahoa High School. Police ask anyone with information about the crimes to call Detective John Ancheta or Officer BJ Duarte at 961-2276 or the police non-emergency number at 935-3311.
