Kawaihae Man Charged in Abduction, Sexual Assault 07-31-01

A 22-year-old Kawaihae man was charged Monday evening (July 30, 2001) with a variety of felony offenses as the result of an incident that occurred Saturday.

Teodulfo K. Pascubillo was charged with three counts of sexual assault, two counts of terroristic threatening, one count of kidnapping and two counts of abuse of a family or household member. All but the abuse charges are felony offenses.

He is being held in lieu of $64,000 bail at the Hawaii Community Correctional Center in Hilo.

Police arrested Pascubillo on Saturday for an incident in which he allegedly got into a verbal dispute with a female, abducted her and forced her to drive to an area in Waikoloa, where he sexually assault her.

The victim, a 20-year-old female, was taken to the Kona Community Hospital, where she was treated for her injuries and released.
