Big Island police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two individuals wanted in a robbery at Kehena Beach Park on September 23.
A 52-year-old Pāhoa man reported that two males in their late teens or early 20s approached him at about 3 p.m. and grabbed his backpack. During an ensuing struggle, one suspect took the victim’s prescription medicine and the second kicked him, causing him to suffer two fractured ribs. Both suspects then fled on foot.
One is described as being 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-7 and muscular with short hair, light brown skin and no facial hair. The other is described as 5-foot-10 to 6-feet tall and thin.
Police ask that anyone with information about this case call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.
