MEDIA RELEASE

The body of a 33-year-old Caucasian man was found Sunday (May 23, 1999) on the front lawn of the Head Start Building on Hualalai Road in Kailua-Kona.

Two pedestrians were walking along the road when they saw the body lying next to a rock wall and called police at 6:54 a.m.

The body has been tentatively identified, but police are withholding the man’s name until notification of next of kin.

Kona Criminal Investigation Section detectives say they believe no foul was involved in the man’s death, and they have ordered an autopsy to determine the exact cause of his death.

Kona CIS detectives are continuing the investigation into the case, classified as a coroner’s inquest.
