Big Island police are investigating a residential break in which occurred Monday morning, December 5, 2005, between the hours of 9:45am and 11:30am on Palani Road near Highway 180/190 junction in Kailua Kona.

An elderly female resident of Kona arrived home to find a vehicle parked in her driveway with a male sitting in the driver’s seat. The vehicle is described as being a black pick up truck mid to full size, with an unkept/run down appearance, the truck had a hole in the front driver’s side windshield.

Police have opened up a burglary investigation and are seeking the public’s help in providing any information that could help identify the vehicle and or suspect.
