Hawaii County police are asking for the public’s help in connection with a robbery Saturday (January 26) on Alii Drive.

A 39-year-old Switzerland man was robbed of his wallet around 10 p.m. just south of the Kailua pier.

The suspect is described as a local male in his 20s, over 6 feet tall, about 200 pounds with a dark complexion, a medium build and short dark hair. He was not wearing a shirt. The suspect was reportedly part of a group of at least eight individuals who were nearby during the robbery.

Police ask anyone with information about the case to call Detective Sharlotte Bird at 326-4646, extension 275, or the Police Department’s non-emergency number at 935-3311.
