Kona patrol officers responded to a reported robbery at 8:21 p.m. Thursday (March 18) in the parking lot behind a hotel on Ali’i Drive and HualÄ?lai Road. Officers determined that a woman was walking from work to her parked car when she was confronted by two males demanding money.

The woman was shoved to the ground. She reached into her purse and handed them an undetermined amount of cash. The suspects then fled on foot. They were described as a tall Caucasian male and a shorter local male.

The victim sustained minor injuries from being shoved to the ground.

Police ask that anyone with information on this case call Officer Neil Shiroma at 326-4646, extension 253, or the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.
