Man charged with numerous offenses 03-14-06

On Sunday, March 11, 2006, at 11:52 P.M., officers from Kau Patrol responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a residence, in Pahala, Kau.

Upon arrival at the residence, police contacted a 51 year-old male victim, identified as Roland JAVAR, who related that he was assaulted within his residence by his 24 year-old son, Ronald John Ramo JAVAR. The senior JAVAR related that during a domestic dispute, his son verbally threatened him then assaulted him with a piece of lumber.

During the investigation, Kau Patrol officers were able to locate Roland John Ramo JAVAR in the area and arrested him for the incident.

The victim was transported to Kona Hospital where he was treated for lacerations and numerous contusions to his body then later released.

On Monday, March 13, 2006, detectives from the West Hawaii Criminal Investigation Section charged Roland John Ramo JAVAR with Burglary I, Assault II, Terroristic Threatening II, Phone Ripping, Violation of Protective Order, and Violation of a Temporary Restraining Order. Bail for JAVAR was set at $10,250.00 and he remained in custody after not being able to post bail. His court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at Kona District Court.
