Big Island police are searching for a 17-year-old boy reported missing from his Hilo home since March 13, 2006. His name is James A. BALAI JR. He is described as part Hawaiian, 5’9″ tall, about 135 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

He is also being sought in connection with other police investigations.

Anyone with information about BALAI’s whereabouts is asked to call Officer B.J. DUARTE of the Hilo Juvenile Aid Section, Detective Lucille MELEMAI of the Hilo Criminal Investigations Section at 961-2377 or the police non-emergency telephone number at 935-3311.
