Media Release (update No. 3)

Hawaiʻi Island police are renewing their request for information about a 48-year-old man who was reported missing.

Michael Kalla was last seen in Puna in October 2015. His last known address was in Honokaʻa, but he is known to have frequented the Pāhoa and Kalapana areas around the time he was reported missing.

He is described as 6-foot-1, 200 pounds, with a muscular build, balding dark blond hair, green eyes and a scar under his chin.

Police ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311 or contact Detective Tuckloy Aurello at 961-2385 or tuckloy.aurello@hawaiicounty.gov.
