Media Release

Big Island police are searching for a 16-year-old girl reported missing from her Pahoa home since December 20, 2007.

Lorraine “Ponilei” Townsend is described as Caucasian, 5-foot-6, about 175 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police ask anyone with information on her whereabouts to call the Police Department’s non-emergency number at 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
