"Officer of the Month"

Media Release

The Kona Crime Prevention Committee recognized Vice Officer Grad Elarionoff as "Officer of the Month" in a luncheon ceremony Wednesday (October 7) at King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel.

Officer Elarionoff was honored for his work on the Ice Task Force. His efforts led to the arrest of a 20-year-old woman who had just moved from California to Honoka’a and was receiving large quantities of crystal methamphetamine for distribution from a mainland source. During a month-long investigation, police recovered 19 ounces of the "ice" with an approximate street value of $121,600.

As "Officer of the Month," Elarionoff is eligible to become "Officer of the Year."

The Kona Crime Prevention Committee is an organization that encourages community involvement in aiding and supporting police in West Hawai’i.
