MEDIA RELEASE UPDATE

Hawaii County police have called off a search for a 56-year-old Puna man wanted for numerous bench warrants — four of them local indictments and one federal warrant.

The search was called off after federal officials reported that suspect, Milton Hualani Carter III, is being held at the federal detention center on Oahu for revocation of federal probation.

Carter had been sought on local warrants issued for sex assault.
