Hawaiʻi Island police are continuing their investigation into the death Monday (April 27) of a 50-year-old woman in the Fern Acres subdivision in Puna.

An autopsy was conducted Tuesday morning (April 28) at Hilo Medical Center. The results reveal that the decedent died of a medical condition. The injury observed on the body was deemed superficial, consistent with a fall to the ground, and did not contribute to the cause of death.
