…wanted on contempt warrant

MEDIA RELEASE

Big Island police are looking for a 20-year-old Hilo man who is wanted on an outstanding bench warrant and for questioning in a theft.

The suspect was identified as Shannon Paleka Gonsalves. Gonsalves is described as being a Puerto Rican, being 5-foot-9 in height, weighing about 150 pounds with a medium build and having a tan complexion, black hair and brown eyes.

The suspect is wanted on a $200 outstanding bench warrant for contempt of court and for questioning about a theft from a Hilo residence in January 2003.

Anyone with information on Gonsalves’ whereabouts is asked to call Detective Thomas Waltjen of the East Hawaii Criminal Investigation Section at 961-2386 or the police non-emergency number at 935-3311.
