MEDIA RELEASE

Police are looking for a burglary suspect believed responsible for several burglaries at Kona resorts.

The most recent burglary occurred sometime between Sunday and Monday (March 27-28, 2005) at a Kaupulehu resort. The thief stole boogie boards, golf balls and clothing valued at about $3,000.

The suspect is described as a dark-complexioned local male in his late 20s, being about 5-foot-7 in height, weighing about 127 pounds and having a slim build, shaved head and a mustache. He also is described as having a left black eye. The suspect was last seen driving a white four-door Isuzu SUV.

Anyone with information about the burglaries or the identity of the suspect is asked to call Kona Community Policing Officer Clyde Kawauchi at 326-4646, Ext. 257, or the police non-emergency number at 935-3311.
