Big Island police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the persons who stole a police radio from a county vehicle Wednesday night (April 5).

Three males in a newer-model black Honda Civic hatchback removed the radio from a car parked in the upper parking area of the Hawaii County Prosecutor’s Office, located at 34 Rainbow Drive, at about 9 p.m. Wednesday.

The case has been classified as an unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle.

Police ask anyone with any information about the case to call Officer Chris Correia or Officer Rodolfo Johnson at 961-2213 or the Police Department’s non-emergency number at 935-3311.

Callers who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
