Kona Vice Section officers seized 689 marijuana plants ranging in height from seedlings to 4 feet as part of their continuing “Green Harvest Field Operation.”

The two-day operation was conducted Tuesday and Wednesday (June 12 and 13, 2001) in the South Kohala, Kona and Ka’u Districts.

Officers from the Hawaii County Police Department were assisted by personnel the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, Hawaii National Guard and Honolulu Police Department.

There were no arrests or unusual incidents reported during the operation.
