MEDIA RELEASE

The Hawaii Police Department wishes to inform the public that the public access computer terminal located in the Records and Identification Section of the main Hilo police station (349 Kapiolani Street) is temporarily out of service.

Members of the public who wish to access sex offender information may do so over the Internet at http://sexoffenders.hawaii.gov

Those seeking criminal conviction information, including information about sex offenders, may do so via the internet at https://www.ecrim.ehawaii.gov  The following are the steps to take for using this website: 

  • Visit http://ecrim.ehawaii.gov

  • Login with your eHawaii.gov portal account or create a new account

  • Pay a nominal $1 Credit Card charge to validate your identity

  • Search the database

Another option available to the public is to go to Hilo District Court to obtain criminal conviction information and printout abstracts for a fee.

The Hawaii Police Department regrets any inconvenience that this may have caused to the public and estimates that the public access terminal should be in full service in a few weeks.
