Media Release

Hawaii Police responded to an 11 a.m. report of a body in Kapoho Friday (October 3).

Responding officers found a decomposed male body along the shore near the Kapoho lighthouse.

An autopsy is tentatively scheduled for October 10 to determine the exact cause of death. The identity of the body will be determined by fingerprints or dental records.

The case has been classified as a coroner’s inquest.
