Media Release (update)

Hawaiʻi Island police have identified a body found in the Hawaiian Acres subdivision the day after a Halloween party.

The deceased man was identified as 23-year-old John Shuman of Keaʻau.

Police thank the public for their assistance in determining his identity.

Detectives have ruled out foul play but are still awaiting a final autopsy report for the exact cause of death.
