Big Island Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 32-year-old Puna man for questioning in a theft investigation.

Ashley K. Maiava is described as a Hawaiian male, 5-foot-10-inches tall, 225 pounds, with black wavy hair and brown eyes. He typically sports a goatee and mustache. His last known address was in the Puna district.

Maiava may be operating a late model silver Toyota pickup truck with the license plate NCW285.

Police ask that anyone with information on Maiava’s whereabouts call Detective Greg Esteban of the Criminal Investigations Section at 961-2384.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
