MEDIA RELEASE

The Hawaii Police Department announces it will be closing its Records Office at the Hilo Police station on Wednesdays beginning February 15, 2006, through April 6, 2006, with Wednesday service resuming as of April 12, 2006. This temporary change is being implemented in order to meet additional requirements associated with the Department’s new Records Management System which was implemented in January of 2005. The Records Section will continue to be available to the Public on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays during this interim period. The Hawaii Police Department apologizes to the public for any inconvenience this action may result in.
