Road closure for Easter religous services 03-31-06

Because of the Easter season activities at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hilo, there will be a temporary one-way traffic pattern on Kapiolani Street.

Traffic will be allowed only in the Puna, or southerly, direction on Kapiolani Street between Waianuenue Avenue and Haili Street during certain hours.

Specifically, the one-way pattern will be in effect from 1 p.m. Friday, Good Friday (April 14, 2006), to 5 p.m. On Saturday (April 15, 2006), from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., and from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Easter Sunday (April 16, 2006), traffic will be one-way in the Puna direction.

During these time periods, parking will be allowed on both sides of Kapiolani Street.
