Second man charged in two Hilo burglaries 10-30-14

A second man has been arrested in connection with burglaries Monday at two Hilo businesses.

At 7 a.m. Thursday (October 30), police arrested 19-year-old Justin Yamauchi of Hilo for his alleged role in burglaries on Leilani Street and Kalanianaʻole Avenue on October 27.

He was taken to the Hilo police cellblock while detectives from the Area I Criminal Investigations Section continued the investigation. At 10:30 a.m. Thursday, he was charged with two counts of burglary, two counts of theft and resisting an order to stop. His bail was set at $7,000. He remains at the cellblock pending his initial court appearance scheduled for Friday (October 31).

The other suspect, 25-year-old Alexander S. Bacdad of Hilo, was arrested Tuesday and charged Wednesday with two counts of burglary and two counts of theft.
