MEDIA RELEASE UPDATE

On October 29, 1999, Kona Criminal Investigation detectives charged Carlton Cooper, M-50, of Oakland, California, who was being held in connection with the incident on October 27, 1999, at a condominium in Waikoloa, South Kohala, involving a 41 year old, female, of Hayward, California.

Cooper was charged with Abuse Family Household Member and Promoting Detrimental Drugs in connection with the incident and is being held in lieu of $1,025.00 bail.

Cooper was released pending further investigation with regards to the Sexual Assault and Kidnapping complaints, after Kona Criminal Investigation detectives conferred with the Prosecutor’s Office.
