Big Island police are requesting the public’s help in identifying and locating a man wanted for questioning in connection with a sexual assault of a female minor. The assault took place on March 12 between 6 and 6:25 p.m. in the warm pond near the Pohoiki Boat Ramp in the Puna District.
The man is described as Caucasian, 35-to-45 years old, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-10, 175 to 200 pounds with a medium build, brown eyes, shoulder-length curly reddish-brown hair, clean shaven with a tan complexion. He was last seen wearing red-and-white flower print board shorts and black slippers.
Detectives with the Juvenile Aid Section are continuing this investigation.
Police ask that anyone with information on his identity and location call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.
