Media Release

On Saturday (May 8), a female adult reported being sexually assaulted by an acquaintance on Wednesday (May 5) while at her home in Kailua-Kona.

The victim underwent a sexual assault forensic examination at Kona Community Hospital and was released.

There was no report of any weapon used in the incident.

Detectives from the Area II Criminal Investigations Division are continuing the investigation into this incident.
