MEDIA RELEASE

Because of Easter season activities at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hilo, a temporary one-way traffic pattern will be in effect on Kapiolani Street during certain hours from April 6 through April 8.

Specifically, the one-way pattern will be in effect from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Good Friday, April 6; on Saturday, April 7, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.; and again on Easter Sunday, April 8, from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Traffic will be allowed only in the Puna, or southerly, direction on Kapiolani Street between Waianuenue Avenue and Haili Street during those hours. 

During those times, parking will be allowed on both sides of Kapiolani Street.
