Big Island police are investigating the theft of a tractor and grass cutter in the Hāmākua District.

The model 4320 John Deere tractor was parked on the side of Kamaee Road in Hakalau and was removed sometime between August 19 and August 20. Attached to it was a model GEMR69 Gearmore Flail grass cutter, which was also taken. The two pieces of equipment are valued at $34,590.

Police ask that anyone with information about the theft or the location of the stolen items call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
