Puna police are requesting the public’s help in regard to an Unauthorized Control Of A Propelled Vehicle case wherein a silver Plymouth station wagon was taken from Ahalanui Beach park between 5:30 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. on June 12, 2007. The vehicle is owned by a 90-year-old female and the female’s dog was inside the car when it was taken. The dog is described as a female Rottweiler named “Ruckus” which has a red collar. The vehicle was found later that evening on fire fronting the Kalapana Seaview Estates Subdivision. Anyone with information regarding this case or the location of the dog may contact Officer Sandor Finkey at the Puna Station at 966-5835 or the Police Department’s non-emergency number at 935-3311.
