Kona Vice Section officers arrested a 39-year-old Honaunau, South Kona, man Tuesday (May 30, 2000) for possession of dangerous drugs after executing search warrants on his car and his home.

The suspect was released Wednesday pending further investigation.

On Tuesday, officers conducted a search of the suspect’s car, a 1983 Ford Mustang, and recovered 33 grams of crystal methamphetamine, or “ice”; 8.6 ounces of dried marijuana; 13.4 grams of possibly illegal mushrooms, assorted pills and $1,319 in cash.

The following day, police searched the suspect’s home and recovered 15.5 grams of marijuana, a .44 magnum revolver and a .22 caliber revolver.

Also seized for possible forfeiture were the victim’s car, cellular telephone, pager and currency.
