Suspect Charged With Sex Assault Involving a Minor 12-05-01

Hilo Juvenile Aid Section detectives have arrested and charged a 53-year-old Pepeekeo man with five counts of sexually assaulting a minor.

The suspect, identified as John Philip Worman, was charged at 1:10 p.m. Wednesday (December 5, 2001) with five counts of sexual assault in a case involving a minor. His total bail on the sexual assault charges was set at $9,000.

Worman is being held at the Hawaii Community Correctional Center for a separate trespassing offense in which he was observed in the area of the Downtown Connections Public Charter School, which violated a trespass notice to stay away from the school.
