MEDIA RELEASE

Hawaii County police officers assisted the State Attorney General’s Office in only processing and holding three persons arrested Wednesday (March 20, 2002) for second-degree theft.

A man and two women affiliated with Memorial Mortuary Funeral Plan, Inc., were arrested by investigators from the Attorney General’s Office at 8:50 a.m. The arrestees were brought to the Hilo police station at 9:15 a.m., where they were processed and are currently being held.

The suspects were identified as Robert Diego, Momi Diego and Bobbie Jean Diego. None had been charged as of 2 p.m.

Further questions about their arrest or the progress of the investigation should be directed to the State Attorney General’s Office.
