Two arrested for burglary 07-30-12

Big Island police have charged a Hilo man and woman in connection with a burglary that occurred Friday morning (July 27) in Hilo.

Jesse Idebond Sablan, 36, and Dana Sablan, 21, were charged at 11:10 a.m. Friday with one count each of second-degree burglary and fourth-degree theft. Bail was set at $11,000 for Jesse Sablan and at $2,250 for Dana Sablan. Both were being held at the Hilo police cellblock pending their initial court appearance scheduled for Monday (July 30).

Friday shortly after midnight, officers responded to a business on Kekūanāoʻa Street in Hilo to a report that two suspects had removed two bags of recyclables and were fleeing the area.

Both suspects were arrested and the stolen property was recovered.
