Hilo Vice Section officers arrested three persons Monday (November 6, 2000) for several drug offenses at a residence in the Hawaiian Paradise Park subdivision of Puna.

Acting on a search warrant, the officers arrested two men, ages 44 and 21, and a woman, 44, for one count of commercial promotion of marijuana, two counts of first-degree promotion of a detrimental drug and one count of possessing drug paraphernalia.

They also confiscated 54 marijuana seedlings and 7.7 pounds of dried, processed marijuana with a total estimated street value of $45,000. They recovered more than $7,700 in cash for possible forfeiture and are looking into the possibility of confiscating the residence for forfeiture.

The three suspects were released pending further investigation.
