Waikoloa male charged in assault investigation 09-13-05

On September 12, 2005 at 8:50 a.m., South Kohala Police Officers arrested a 31-year old Waikoloa resident for an assault, which had occurred on April 13, 2005, in Waikoloa.

A 61-year old Waikoloa man was seriously injured during the assault, which had occurred at a Waikoloa apartment complex. At the time of the assault, witnesses were unable to identify the suspect.

The victim sustained head injuries during the assault and had to be flown to the Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu, where he was confined for several weeks.

On September 13, 2005, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Criminal Investigation Section Detectives charged Soli Leieo Saunoa for Assault in the First Degree and he remains at the Kealakehe Police Station cellblock with his bail set at $25,000.
