Media Release (update No. 2)

Big Island Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed a Waimea pharmacy on November 9. His image was captured on surveillance cameras.

The man in camouflage clothing and armed with a handgun entered the pharmacy off Kawaihae Road and demanded Fentanyl and Oxycontin. He then fled the area on foot carrying a camouflage backpack and headed south into an area known as Waimea Nature Park.

The suspect is described as tan, between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-10 with a slim-to-medium build and a heavy Pidgin accent.

Police caution the public not to take either of the stolen narcotics, as the result could be fatal.
