wanted in Nevada

MEDIA RELEASE

Big Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 49-year-old man wanted by Nevada authorities.  

Dennis Roy Garcia is wanted on a warrant issued out of Nye County>, >Nevada, for sexual offenses. 

He is originally from the >Big> >Island> but moved to Nevada several years ago. Garcia was reportedly seen recently in the Puna and Hamakua areas. 

Garcia is described as Hispanic,  5-foot-8, about 160 pounds with brown eyes, partially gray balding hair, a mustache and a beard. He may be in the company of a teenage girl.

Police ask anyone with any information on Garcia’s whereabouts to call Detective Robert Hatton at 961-2380 or the Police Department’s non-emergency number at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
