Hilo Criminal Investigation Section Detectives are looking for a man in connection with the theft of a pickup truck from a home in North Hilo.

Police are seeking Scott Slingo.

Slingo is described as Caucasian, 55 years old and 6-foot-1.

Police recovered the pickup truck on Saturday (December 13). It was found engulfed in flames along the Puna coastline less than a mile north of Mackenzie Park. 

Police ask that anyone with information about this case call Detective Paul Fukuda at 961-2381 or the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
