Woman arrested for meth trafficking 06-03-05

West Hawaii Ice Task Force and Vice Section officers have arrested and charged a 50-year-old woman with a variety of drug offenses after executing a search warrant Thursday (June 2, 2005) on her pickup truck.

Executing a search warrant in Honuapo, Naalehu, Ka’u, the officers arrested Susan Watson, of no permanent address, after they recovered 89.5 grams of crystal methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, marijuana residue and .22-caliber ammunition from her vehicle.

Watson was charged with one count of methamphetamine trafficking, two counts of promoting dangerous drugs, two counts of illegal possession of drug paraphernalia, one count of promoting detrimental drugs and a firearms violation.

Watson is currently being held in the Kona police cellblock in lieu of an aggregate bail of $100,000.

During the arrest, officers also recovered a 1988 Ford pickup truck and $1,570 in cash for possible forfeiture.

The case is currently being reviewed by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for possible federal prosecution.
