Hawai‘i Island police ask for the public’s assistance with locating 18-year-old, Kainalu Kawaakoa Bergau, who was initially reported as a runaway and has since reached “The Age of Majority” (18-years-old).  Kawaakoa Bergau was last seen in Hilo on Monday, January 22, 2024, when he left a residential home on Kinoole Street, without permission.

Kawaakoa Bergau is described as approximately 5-feet 6-inches tall, weighing approximately 160 pounds, with a brown complexion, black hair, and brown eyes. He is known to frequent the Hilo and Puna districts.

Police ask anyone who may have information about Kawaakoa Bergau’s whereabouts to contact the Hawai’i Police Department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311 or Officer Corey Kaneko at (808) 961-8843, or via email at Corey.Kaneko@hawaiicounty.gov.
