Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 15-year-old Kealii Kaniho, who was reported as a runaway.

Kaniho was last seen in the 1700 block of  Kino‘ole Street in Hilo on Monday, August 23, 2021, wearing a gray t-shirt, gray shorts, and slippers.  He is described as having a tanned complexion, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 140 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. 

Kaniho is known to frequent the Puna and South Kohala areas.

Police ask anyone who may have information on Kaniho’s whereabouts to contact Officer Corey Kaneko of the Area I Juvenile Aid Section at (808) 961-8843 or via email at corey.kaneko@hawaiicounty.gov, or contact the police non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311.
