Media Release

Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 65-year-old Anthony Yates of Hilo. Yates was reported as missing to police on October 29, 2024, and is considered endangered due to his age.

He was last seen in early September of 2024 in the area of Ululani Street in Hilo.  

He is described as Caucasian with a fair complexion and medium build, about 6 feet 1 inch tall, 200 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.   

Police ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311.
